Elizabeth A. Nicholson was born in June 1890 at Liverpool.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Medhurst Nicholson and Ann Lancaster.1
She was recorded as living with her mother, her father, her two step-brothers and her older brother, William, Thomas and John in the 1891 census at 13 Stonehill Street, Liverpool. She was recorded as being just 9 months old.1 As of March 1901, Elizabeth A. Nicholson was also known as Annie.2
She was recorded as living with her parents, her two older step-brothers and her siblings John, William, Thomas, Donald and Hannah in the 1901 census at 9 Dawber street, Everton, Liverpool. She was recorded as being 10 years old.2 Her occupation was recorded as being a scholar in the census.2
She was recorded as living with her mother, a boarder, her step-brother and her siblings John, Thomas, Donald and Hannah in the 1911 census at 32 Breckfield Road, South Liverpool. She was recorded as being 19 years old.3 Her occupation was recorded as being a folder and sewer working for a book-binder in the census.3
