Hannah was born on Friday, 29 May 1846 at the small Tasmanian town of Evandale.1 She was the daughter of Kennedy Murray and Hannah Goodall.

She married Augustus East Littler, son of Charles Littler and Annie Summers, in a Church of Scotland ceremony on Thursday, 22 August 1867 at Trafalgar, Tasmania. She was 21 and her husband Augustus was 24.. Augustus and Hannah went on to have seven children together.

She may have attended the wedding of her sister in the marriage of Arthur Alfred Littler and Marianne Goodall Murray in a Presbyterian ceremony conducted by Rev R. S. Duff at Trafalger on Monday, 5 November 1877 at the small Tasmanian town of Evandale. Arthur and Marianne went on to have six known children together.2,3,4,5

Hannah Sarah Murray married Francis Seymour Stevens on Saturday, 25 July 1891 at Launceston, Tasmania. They were 45 and 32 respectively.6

Hannah died on 26 February 1937 at Launceston, Tasmania, at age 90.7
