Even Nielsen Bjørnstad was also known as Even Nilssen.1 Even Nielsen Bjørnstad was also known as Even Nilsen.2 He was likely born in November 1792 at at Houmb (or Houm) nedre farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.3,4 He presumably lived with his parents at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, in November 1792.3 He was the son of Niels Eriksen Houm and Ales Tollefsdatter Houm. Even Nielsen Bjørnstad was baptised on Sunday, 25 November 1792 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.3 He presumably lived with his parents at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, in July 1795.5

He was recorded as living with his parents, his father's parents and four siblings Mons, Anne, Tollef and Nils in the 1801 census at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark. He was recorded as being 8 years old.6,7 Even Nielsen Bjørnstad may have been confirmed in 1807 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark.8 Even lived in 1816 at at Angelset farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.9 Even and Agnete lived in February 1816 at at Houglie farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.10

Even, aged 23 and Agnete Christofersdatter Glestadeie, aged 29 became the parents of Niels Evensen Nedre Åseneie on Thursday, 15 February 1816 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark. His parents were unmarried at the time of the birth..10

He married Agnete Christofersdatter Glestadeie, daughter of Christopher Larsen Krogen and Anne Madsdatter Krogen, on Thursday, 4 April 1816 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark. He was 23 and his wife Agnete was 29..11 Even Nielsen Bjørnstad was also known as Even Nilsen Glestadeie (in the Norwegian tradition) when he was at this farm. Even and Agnete lived in December 1818 at at Glestad farm near the village of Byflaten Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway. Even was reportedly the owner of the farm.12 Even and Agnete lived in June 1824 at at Åsen Nedre farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway. Their children were also likely living with them.13 Even Nielsen Bjørnstad was also known as Even Nilsen Aasen Nedre (in the Norwegian tradition) when he was at this farm. Even and Agnete lived in October 1833 at Byflaten, Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark.14

He was recorded as head of household in the 1865 census with Agnete Christofersdatter Glestadeie as his spouse at at Skogen Mitre Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway. He was 73 years old. His age was recorded as 73, and also living in the house was a teenage maid. His youngest son and family lived on a farm close by.15

Even was a sponsor at his granddaughter's Elise Evensdatter Sørum's baptism on Sunday, 8 September 1867 at Veldre, Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.16

Even was living in the 1875 census with his daughter Agnethe Evensdatter Glestadeie and her husband at at Bjørnstad farm Furnes Parish, Hedmark, Norway.17 Even Nielsen Bjørnstad was a person living off his own wealth.17

Even died in February 1877 at Furnes Parish, Hedmark, at age 84.18 His body was interred on 6 February 1877 at Furnes Parish, Hedmark, Norway.18
