Ales Tollefsdatter Houm was also known as Ahles Tollevsdatter.4 She was likely born circa 1762 at at Ottersrud farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.4,2 She was the daughter of Tollef Arnesøn Ottersrud and Alis Evensdatter.1,2 Ales Tollefsdatter Houm was baptised on Thursday, 27 May 1762 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.5 Ales lived in May 1787 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark.6

She married Niels Eriksen Houm, son of Erich Nielsen Houmb and Marthe Monsdatter, on Friday, 4 May 1787 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark..6,4 Ales and Niels lived in March 1788 at at Kvislien (or Qvissellien) farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.7 Ales and Niels lived in November 1792 at at Houmb (or Houm) nedre farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.1

Ales was a sponsor at Ales Olsdatter's baptism on Sunday, 29 September 1793 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark.8 Ales and Niels lived in July 1795 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark.9

Ales Tollefsdatter Houm was recorded as the spouse of Niels Eriksen Houm in the 1801 census at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark. She was recorded as being 39 years old. Also in the house were five of their children, as well as her husband's parents.4,10

In March 1805 [SP1] appears to have left Houmb (or Houm) nedre farm, selling it for 1999 rd. to Knud Larsen.11,3 Ales and Niels lived in October 1820 at at Angelset farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.12 Ales lived in June 1842 at at Glestad farm near the village of Byflaten Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.13

Ales died in June 1842 at Byflaten, Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark.13 Her body was interred on 26 June 1842 at Veldre Parish, Hedmark, Norway.13
