Thirza Vaughan was born circa 1845.1
Thirza Vaughan married James Oaten, son of William Oaten and Mary Billett, at St. Pauls Church of England in 1865 at Broadmeadows.1,2 She presumably lived with her spouse James at at Station Street in the Melbourne suburb of North Carlton in 1882.3 She presumably lived with her spouse James at at Station Street in the Melbourne suburb of North Fitzroy in 1883. However, the suburb is likely to be actually North Carlton.4 She presumably lived with her spouse James at at Bell Street West in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg in 1886.5 She presumably lived with her spouse James at at 'Balloan' Bell Street West in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg in 1896.6 Thirza and James lived in 1903 at at Bell Street in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg.7 Thirza's occupation was given as 'home duties' in 1903.7
Thirza died in 1931 at Victoria.1 Her body was interred at Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery on 24 December 1931 at the Melbourne suburb of Coburg. She is buried in the Church of England section, plot CO-COE*P***589 with her husband John and her daughter Thirza.8
