Annie was born in 1880 at the Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy.1 She was the daughter of James Oaten and Thirza Vaughan. She lived with her parents at at Bell Street in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg in 1903 r.2 Annie's occupation was given as 'home duties' in 1903.2
Annie died in 1961 at the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn.1
