James Breach was born circa 1812 at Portsmouth.2
James Breach married Mary Child circa December 1841.3,2
He was recorded as head of household in the 1851 census with Mary Child as his spouse at Wycliffe Cottage, Richmond, Yorkshire. Also in the house were five of his children.4 His occupation was recorded as being a commercial traveller (paper) in the census.4
He was recorded as head of household in the 1861 census at Pool End Lane at Temperance Grove, Stretford, Lancashire. His age was recorded as 45 years old, and he was living with three of his children.5 His occupation was recorded as being a clerk in a paper warehouse in the census.5
James, as the father of the groom, along with Mary may have attended the wedding of James and Emma Miller in a Church of England ceremony at St. Peter's on Wednesday, 6 May 1868 Emma's father was a cotton mill manager at Bolton, Lancashire. Others who may have attended include Mary Fairclough as mother of the bride and Robert T. Miller as father of the bride. Emma and James went on to have six children together.1
He was recorded as head of household in the 1871 census with Mary Child as his spouse at Alexandra Road, Moss Side, Manchester. Also living in her house were three of their children.6
James died before April 1881.7
