Samuel Breach was born circa 1850 at Richmond, Yorkshire.1 He was the son of James Breach and Mary Child.1

He was recorded as living with his parents and siblings Mary, James, Anna and John in the 1851 census at Wycliffe Cottage, Richmond, Yorkshire.1

He was recorded as living with his parents and his sisters Anna and Mary in the 1861 census at Pool End Lane at Temperance Grove, Stretford, Lancashire. He was recorded as being 10 years old.2

He may have attended the wedding of his brother in the marriage of James Child Breach and Emma Miller in a Church of England ceremony at St. Peter's on Wednesday, 6 May 1868 Emma's father was a cotton mill manager at Bolton, Lancashire. Emma and James went on to have six children together.3

He was recorded as living with his parents and siblings Anna and Mary in the 1871 census at Alexandra Road, Moss Side, Manchester.4

Samuel Breach married Georgina H. Webster circa June 1876 at Chorlton-on-Medlock, Manchester.5,6
