Jane Sangwell was born on 29 January 1846 at Kintbury, Berkshire.1

Jane Sangwell emigrated from England circa 1855 on the 'Fortitude' with with parents, brothers and sisters.1 She arrived circa 1855 at Australia.1


She married Samuel John Westbrook, a mariner, son of Dr. Samuel Westbrook and Mary Margaret Mason, at the house of Thomas Drury at Steam Packet Tavern on Monday, 12 May 1862 at Hobart. She was 16 and her husband Samuel was 29..1

Jane died in 1914 at the Melbourne suburb of Elsternwick.1
