Norman Nicholson was born on 15 October 1873 at Altrincham, Cheshire.1 He was the son of Walter Wetherell Nicholson and Mary Goodfellow.1

He was recorded as living with his parents, two servants and his siblings Walter, Andrew, Harold, Annie, Edgar, Arthur and Edwin in the 1881 census at Brighton Grove, Rusholme, Manchester. He was recorded as being 7 years old.2 His occupation was recorded as being a scholar in the census.2

Norman emigrated from England circa 1885. Norman arrived at Canada circa 1885.


He was recorded as living with his mother and siblings Harold, Annie, Edgar, Arthur and Edwin in the 1891 census at St. Henri Town, Hochelaga, Quebec.3

Norman Nicholson married Henrietta Ivey on Wednesday, 21 September 1904 at Canada.1

Norman died on 12 February 1953 at Montreal, Quebec, at age 79.1
