Walter Coxall may have been born on 1 May 1845 at Canada.1,2 He was the son of Laurence John Coxall and Amelia Darby.1 Walter Coxall may have been born in 1846 at New York.3
He was listed in the 1851 census at Wolfe Island, Ontario.1 He was baptised at Holy Trinity Anglican on Monday, 8 March 1852 at Wolfe Island, Ontario. The four youngest Coxall children were all baptised on the same day.4
His father died 14 March 1857 at the age of 36. Walter was aged 11 when this happened.
Walter Coxall was recorded as a member of the household of Amelia Darby in the 1861 census at Wolfe Island, Ontario. His age next birthday was recorded as being 16. Also living in the house were four of his younger siblings.5
Walter Coxall married Sarah Jane Paisley on Wednesday, 15 December 1869 at Napanee, Ontario.6,7 Walter Coxall was a grocer in 1873.8 In 1881 Ada Gertrude Trigg was living in the household of Walter Coxall.9
Walter died in April 1912 at York, Toronto, Ontario, at age 66.10
