Emma Elwin Olifent was born on 11 April 1846 at Kent.3,2 She was the daughter of James Smith Olifent and Eliza Oyer.1,2 Emma Elwin Olifent was baptised at St. Mary the Virgin on Sunday, 17 May 1846 at Dover, Kent.2
Emma Elwin Olifent married George Speller Wright J.P., son of John Speller Wright and Martha Darby, at Stow Memorial Congreational Church on Wednesday, 22 May 1867 at Adelaide. They were 21 and 22 respectively.1
Emma, aged 23 and George Speller Wright J.P., aged 24 became the parents of their first child Arthur John Speller Wright on Monday, 24 May 1869 at Adelaide. Arthur was to be the first of six children over a 10 year period.4
"was a hard worker in the matter of providing comforts for the soldiers in the trenches during the Great War."3 Emma Elwin Olifent and George Speller Wright J.P. celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on 22 May 1927.5 Emma and George lived on 26 May 1927 at Henly Beach, South Australia.6
Emma died on 3 July 1932 at the Adelaide suburb of Henly Beach at age 86.7
