Mogens Mogensen Hestnes (Arstad) was born circa 1727.¹

Mogens Mogensen Hestnes (Arstad) married Anne Nilsdatter Mostue, daughter of Nils Christensen Mostue and Dorte Olsdatter Mostue, on Tuesday, 29 June 1756.^2,3

The probate of his wife Anne Nilsdatter Mostue, in which he was received Hestnes farm on 24 October 1764.²

On Tuesday, 26 March 1765 Mogens Mogensen Hestnes (Arstad) gets a waiver for Hestnes farm from his stepchildren Randi and Hans. One wonders if at the approximate ages of about 20 and 12 respectively they received fair compensation. Mogens then mortgages the farm to Lars Olsen Torgård.²

Mogens Mogensen Hestnes (Arstad) married Mari Christensdatter Hestnes (Ekeberg) on Tuesday, 26 November 1765.⁴

Mogens Mogensen Hestnes (Arstad) announces to parliament on Tuesday, 12 July 1768 that Hestnes farm has burned down.²

On Saturday, 18 September 1784 Mogens's son Simen takes over Hestnes farm.²

Mogens died on 29 July 1802.¹
