She was recorded as living with her parents and three siblings Kari, Eli and Anne in the 1801 census at at Lillehagen farm near the village of Ottestad Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway. She was recorded as being 8 years old.3
Marthe Larsdatter Ottestad married Peder Arvesen Gaustad circa 1810.4
Marthe died on 4 June 1855 at age 60.5
