Effie Ellis was born circa 1876 at Hoylake, Cheshire.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Ellis and Martha Ann Nicholson.1
She was recorded as living with her parents and siblings Samuel, Amy, Anne and Alexander in the 1881 census at Marmion Road, Hoose, Wirral, Cheshire. She was recorded as being 5 years old.1 Her occupation was recorded as being a scholar in the census.1
Effie died before 1883.2
