William Coxall may have been born on 25 August 1842 at Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.2 He may have been born on 25 August 1842 at London.1,3,4 He was the son of Laurence John Coxall and Amelia Darby.1
He was listed in the 1851 census at Wolfe Island, Ontario.1 William Coxall was baptised at Holy Trinity Anglican on Monday, 8 March 1852 at Wolfe Island, Ontario. The four youngest Coxall children were all baptised on the same day.5
His father died 14 March 1857 at the age of 36. William was aged 14 when this happened.
William Coxall married Elizabeth Gillespie, daughter of Robert Gillespie and Elizabeth Martin, at Holy Trinity Anglican on Monday, 13 November 1865 at Wolfe Island, Ontario.6 William Coxall was a storekeeper.7 He and Elizabeth Gillespie moved to Colborne, Ontario, circa 1874.
He went into business with William Hutchinson to form W. Coxall & Co.6 William Coxall was a merchant in 1887.6 William provided information on the death of his wife Elizabeth Gillespie, on 28 September 1887, at age 45. She died of consumption at the age of 42.6
William Coxall married Emily Bennett on Wednesday, 11 July 1888 at Toronto, Ontario.8,6
William Coxall married Martha Jeanette Philips Strong on Friday, 17 June 1898 at Colborne, Ontario.9,6
William died on 25 May 1902 at Colborne, Ontario, at age 59.10
