Mary Gladys Coxall was born on 12 February 1889 at Colborne, Ontario.1 She was the daughter of William Coxall and Emily Bennett.1

Mary Gladys Coxall married Arthur Lyon circa 1915.2 Mary Gladys Coxall was a stenographer in March 1915.1

Mary Gladys Coxall began military service on Wednesday, 31 March 1915 with the Canadian Army Medical Corps at age 26. and evidently saw service in London.1

Mary was commended in a Toronto Star newspaper article on 20 October 1917:
Nurses Win Honor. London, Oct. 20.---The following Canadian matron nurses are being brought to the notice of the Secretary of War for valuable services: E. C. Bachelder, M. O. Buller, I. A. Cains, J. Cameron Smith, M. G. Coxall, H. E. Dulmage.1



Mary died circa 1973 at Toronto, Ontario.2
