Isabella Nicholson may have been born in 1838 at Kilmuir, Inverness-shire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of James Nicholson and Margaret McDonald.1 Isabella Nicholson may have been born circa 1840.1 As of March 1841, Isabella Nicholson was also known as Isabella Nicolson.3,2

She was recorded as living with her parents, a visitor (perhaps her grandfather) and siblings William, Flora, Charles, Mary, Margaret and Samuel in the 1841 census at Duntulm, Kilmuir, Inverness-shire, Scotland. She was recorded as being 3 years old.3

Her mother died before March 1851. She was a scholar in March 1851.2

She was recorded as living with her father, a visitor (perhaps her grandfather) and siblings, Flora, Charles, Mary in the 1851 census at Duntulm, Kilmuir, Inverness-shire, Scotland. She was recorded as being 14 years old.2 She presumably lived with her parents at Inverness-shire, Scotland, in 1854.4 Isabella Nicholson was a domestic servant in 1854.4

Isabella emigrated from Liverpool on 29 July 1854 on the 'Hornet.4,5' Isabella arrived at Geelong, Victoria, on 23 October 1854.4


Isabella may have died on 5 March 1855 at Ballarat, Victoria.6
