William Donald Nicholson was born circa July 1900.1 He was the son of John Percy Nicholson and Harriett Davies.1
He was recorded as living with his grandfather, her father, older siblings and other family in the 1911 census at 116 Whetstone Lane, Birkenhead, Cheshire. He was recorded as being 10 years old.2 His occupation was recorded as being a scholar in the census.2
