He was recorded as head of household in the 1891 census with Emily Jane Finer as his spouse and child living at Shoreditch, London.4
He was recorded as head of household in the 1901 census with Emily Jane Finer as his spouse at 84 Albert Road, Hackney, London. His age was recorded as 46 years, and he was living with his wife and his son. They also had a visitor, a sister of his wife.5
He was recorded as head of household in the 1911 census with Emily Jane Finer as his spouse and children living at 'Cambourne' Falmouth Avenue, Chingford, Walthamstow, Essex. Also living in the house were two of his wife's sisters and a neice.6 His occupation was recorded as being a dining table maker in the census.6
