Margaret was born on Friday, 1 February 1895 at Warwick, Queensland.1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas McMahon and Sabina Connell. Margaret McMahon was (an unknown value) on 31 July 1943 at Maleny Memorial Hospital, in Queensland, |a matron.3
She married Henry Rowland Hill, son of Henry Hugh Hill and Jane Ellen Holt, at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, 31 July 1943 at the Brisbane suburb of Rosalie. She was 48 and her husband Henry was 56..1 Margaret and Henry lived in 1949 at 58 Glencoe street, in Rockhampton, Queensland.4 Margaret's occupation was given as 'home duties' in 1949.4 Margaret and Henry lived in 1954 at 4 Vaughan Street, in Yepoon, Queensland. They stayed there until for at least another decade.5 Margaret McMahon was was described as doing home duties in 1954.5 Margaret provided information on the death of Henry Rowland Hill, on 3 May 1965, at 4 Vaughan Street, in Yeppoon, Queensland, at age 70.6,7
Her husband Henry died 3 May 1965 at the age of 78, leaving her a widow at age 70. Margaret McMahon and Henry Rowland Hill had no children together.6
Margaret died on 19 September 1987 at Queensland at age 92.8
