Amy was born on Saturday, 15 November 1873 at Perth, Tasmania.1 She was the daughter of William Reid and Mary Jane Fookes. She presumably lived with her parents at Deloraine, Tasmania, in 1883.1

Amy Grace Reid married Phillip James Cherry on Monday, 9 January 1905 at Westbury, Tasmania. They were 31 and 25 respectively.2 She presumably lived with her spouse Phillip at Burnie, Tasmania, in 1914.3 She presumably lived with her spouse Phillip at North Terrace, in Burnie, Tasmania, in 1928.3 Amy lived in 1949 at Regent Street, in Burnie, Tasmania.3

Amy died on 9 September 1959 at Devonport, Tasmania, at age 85.1
