Margaret Anne Carroll was born on 19 October 1864 at the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood.1,3,2,4 She was the daughter of Peter Carroll and Margaret Dolan.2 Her common name was Annie.5 She presumably lived with her parents at at Oxford Street in the Melbourne suburb of East Collingwood on 14 February 1865. Their house was a wooden house.6 She presumably lived with her parents at at 115 Oxford Street in the Melbourne suburb of East Collingwood in February 1866.7,8 She presumably lived with her parents at East Collingwood on 13 February 1867. The house was a 2 room wooden house.9,10 She presumably lived with her parents at at Perry Street in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood on 18 January 1871. Their house was a wooden house.11 She presumably lived with her parents at Collingwood on 6 March 1872. Their house was a brick house.12 She presumably lived with her parents at Collingwood on 3 January 1873.13 She presumably lived with her parents at at 36 Perry Street in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood on 28 January 1874.14,15 She presumably lived with her parents at at 38 Perry Street in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood on 12 January 1876.16,17 She presumably lived with her parents at at Sackville Street in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood on 10 October 1883.18 She presumably lived with her parents at at 18 Sackville Street in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood in 1885.19

Margaret Anne Carroll married Henry Hensell Thompson, son of Samuel Hensell and Anne Elizabeth Collett, at St. Patricks Cathedral on Monday, 23 March 1885 at the Melbourne suburb of Melbourne. They were 20 and 25 respectively.20,21,2 Margaret and Henry lived at Collingwood.5

Her husband Henry died 29 December 1898 at the age of 38, leaving her a widow at age 34. She was left with three children aged from 9 to 2. Margaret lived in October 1901 at at corner Reilly and Blanch streets in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood.22

Her father died 29 August 1902 at the age of 68. Margaret was aged 37 when this happened.

On 4 October 1902 Margaret placed a memorial in the paper for the death of her sister and her father (who had also died in the last two months.)23

Margaret died on 7 November 1905 at Melbourne at age 41.5
