Lily was born in 1887 at Sydney.1,2 She was the daughter of James Henry Jones and Sarah Jane Cox.
She married Donald Norman Aplitt, son of John William Aplett and Frances Nicholson, in a Church of England ceremony on Monday, 14 January 1907 at Cobar, New South Wales. The marriage took place at the house of Mrs. William Jenkins. Sarah, Lily's mother, gave consent that her 20 year old daughter could be married. Both the bride and groom were living in Cobar at the time..1
Lily died on 31 May 1974 at at 'Thornbreigh' Bay Street in the Sydney suburb of Rockdale.3,4 She was buried on 2 September 1974 at at Rookwood Crematorium in the Sydney suburb of Rookwood.5
