Sarah was born circa 1798.1,2 She was the daughter of John Oaten and Hannah Tamsey. Sarah Oaten was baptised on Sunday, 14 January 1798 at Wilton, Somerset.2 She presumably moved with her parents to London circa 1811. It isn't clear what prompted the move.1
