She married Charles Edward Fooks, son of Charles Berjew Fooks and Ann Chandler, on Thursday, 16 January 1851 at Kennington, Kent. She was 18 and her husband Charles was 21..
At the age of 18 Catherine and her husband Charles emigrated from London on 27 February 1851 on the 'Steadfast.2' After a voyage of more than 4 months Catherine and her husband Charles arrived at Lyttelton, Canterbury, New Zealand, on 8 June 1851.2
She presumably lived with her spouse Charles at Cashell Street, Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1853.2 She presumably lived with her spouse Charles at Coleridge, Canterbury, New Zealand, in 1880.2
