Nils Christensen Mostue was also known as Nils Kristensen. He was born circa 1690 at at Mostue farm Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.¹ He was the son of Christen Iversen Mostue and Marte Svensdatter Vålen.^2,3

He married Dorte Olsdatter Mostue, daughter of Ole Nielsen Hosmestad and Anne Lauritsdatter Hosmestad, in 1716.^4,5 Nils and Dorte lived in October 1716 at Stange Parish, Hedmark.

On Monday, 19 August 1720 Nils's father transferred his share of Mostue Nedre farm to him.⁶ They attested to the validity of Christen Iversen Mostue's will on 12 January 1734.⁶

Nils proved on 16 November 1734 that he had shot a bear and caught 2 bear cubs.⁶

Nils died on 7 July 1777 at Stange Parish, Hedmark.¹
