Malcolm Buchanan Nicholson may have been born circa 1834 at Scotland.3 He was the son of James Nicholson and Margaret McDonald.1 Malcolm Buchanan Nicholson may have been born in 1836 at Glasgow.4 He may have been born circa 1843.1

Malcolm may have died in 1843 According to his father's death certificate, Malcolm died at the age of 3 months.1 He presumably lived with his parents at Inverness-shire, Scotland, in 1854.3

Malcolm Buchanan Nicholson married Catherine McColl in 1868.4
