Kearns Deane was born on 6 April 1804 at Cork.1,2 He was the son of Alexander Deane and Elizabeth Sharp.1
His father died 1806.1 He was a student at at Mr Callaghan's Academy, Cork.2 He was a student at at Trinity College, Dublin, in 1821.2
In 1823 he was sent by his brother Thomas to London to be a pupil of the drawing master Alfred Nicholson, along with their brother Alexander.2
Kearns Deane married Jane Kearns Tanner, daughter of Boyle Tanner, on Tuesday, 5 October 1824 at Cork.2
In 1828 he exhibited at Mechanic's Institute Exhibition.2
In 1832 he designed and progresed the building of St. Mary's Dominican Church, in Cork, which is memorialised on a slab in the church.3 Kearns Deane was an architect.2
He is also said to have been an artist of considerable merit.3
Kearns died on 30 January 1847 at South Mall, in Cork, at age 42, probably of tuberculosis.2
