John Auchinleck McMunn was born on 26 August 1855.1 He was the son of Thomas McMunn and Annie Spear.1 John Auchinleck McMunn was baptised on Sunday, 14 October 1855 at Jubbulpore, Bengal.1
John Auchinleck McMunn qualified MB BS and became a surgeon in the Royal Navy on the 1st October 1879, serving in various naval hospitals, latterly in Japan and Hong Kong (1882-1885). in 1879.2
John died on 3 November 1885 at County Down, Ireland, at age 30.2
