Joseph Michael Vincent Wade was born on 28 February 1902 at Fort George, Saint Pierre Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands.4 He was the son of James William Frederick Wade and Ellen O'Leary.4 Joseph lived in 1911 at 24 Laird Road, Wadsley, Sheffield.4 He enlisted 3 Bn Lincolnshire Regt on 12 April 1916 at Grimsby, Lincolnshire.4 He was promoted Drummer Boy 3 Bn Lincolnshire Regt on 28 June 1918 at Cork.4 He was posted 2 Bn Lincolnshire Regt on 19 May 1919 at Lincoln, Lincolnshire.4 He was posted Foreign Service 2 Bn Lincolnshire Regt on 26 September 1919 at India.4 He was promoted to Private on 9 March 1921 at India.4 He was promoted to Lance Corporal on 10 January 1923 at India.4 He was demoted to Private on 31 December 1923 at India.4 He was discharged from Army on 11 April 1925 at India.4 Joseph lived on 11 April 1925 at Emeldane House, Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal. where he was apparently a caretaker.4
He married Emelia Dorothy Mumford, in a Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, 29 April 1925 at Kurseong, West Bengal. He was 23 and his wife Emelia was 29..4 Joseph Michael Vincent Wade was Guard on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway on 7 February 1926 at Kurseong, West Bengal.4 He was Unemployed on 13 February 1927 at Calcutta, West Bengal.4 He was Salesman on 7 August 1928 at Calcutta, West Bengal.4
At the age of 29 Joseph emigrated from Calcutta, West Bengal, in July 1931.1,4 Joseph arrived at London on 11 August 1931. He was marked as ex-soldier in 1931 Arrival List.1,4
Joseph lived on 4 February 1932 at in a caravan off Enfield Street, Sheffield.4 He was Railway Guard on 6 March 1933.4
Joseph died on 12 February 1949 at 24 Granville Street, Laughton Common, Rotherham, Yorkshire, at age 46.2,4 He was buried on 16 February 1949 at All Saints Church, Laugthon en le Morthen, Yorkshire.4
