David was born at in his father's home circa 1720 at Donaghadee, County Down, Ireland.^4,5,1 He was the son of Alexander Deane and Grizelle Kennedy of Bennane.²

David Deane married Mary Kearns, daughter of William Kearns, on Tuesday, 27 May 1755 at Cork.^5,1

David and Mary Kearns became the parents of William Deane in 1757 at Cork.^6,7 David Deane was a builder and architect circa 1780.^3,5,8

David died on 31 January 1800.³ His body was interred at St. Paul's on 2 February 1800 at Cork, Ireland.⁵
