Dulcie May Darby was born on 29 October 1895 at the Adelaide suburb of Woodville.1 She was the daughter of John Darby and Edith Watson.1

Tragedy struck the Darby family when John and Edith's son Kenny Darby, not quite two years of age, was shot dead by his seventeen year old brother Eustace on 23 February 1896. There was an inquest, and a verdict brought down of accidental death with no blame being attached to anyone.2,3

Dulcie May Darby married Herbert Tyley at Pirie Street Methodist Church on Thursday, 21 December 1922 at Adelaide.4,5

Her father died 2 July 1930 at the age of 76. Dulcie was aged 34 when this happened.

Dulcie May Darby married Howard Tromf circa 1935.6

Dulcie may have died on 19 May 1977 at the Adelaide suburb of Semaphore at age 81.7

Dulcie died circa 1991.6 She was buried on 12 September 1991 at at Fawkner Cemetery in the Melbourne suburb of Fawkner.6
