John Cecil Irving Nicholson was born on 27 January 1882 at Cobar, New South Wales.1,2 He was the son of Donald Henry Nicholson and Anne Smyth.1 John Cecil Irving Nicholson was also known as Cec.3 John Cecil Irving Nicholson was also known as Cecil Robert Erwin.4,5

He married Lillie Bray Rodd, in 1908 at the Sydney suburb of Waterloo. John's name on the marriage documents is 'Cecil Robert Erwin Nicholson'..4,6

John died on 25 June 1966 at Sydney at age 84 (the death certificate records his second middle name as 'Irvine').7,4,2
