Louisa Ann Garlick Berjew was born on 7 June 1849 at Kermode Street, in North Adelaide.1,2 She was the daughter of John Berjew and Catherine Jane Iles Fooks.1 She presumably moved with her parents to Melbourne in 1851.3 She presumably moved with her parents to Circular Head, Tasmania, in April 1856.3

Louisa Ann Garlick Berjew married Joseph Birmingham Alford at the Presbyterian Manse on Saturday, 21 June 1873 at Richmond.4,1 Louisa lived in 1914 at 106 Nelson Road, in South Melbourne.5
