Rosanna Reed was born in 1836.2
She married Kyrl Allen Deane, a seventy five year old clerk, son of William Deane and Susanna Jervis, on Friday, 27 September 1878 at Adelaide. They married after having had 3 children and spending more than 16 years together. Kyrl was to die just 6 weeks after his marriage..2
Her husband Kyrl died 14 December 1878 at the approximate age of 78, leaving her a widow. Rosanna lived at at Twelfth Street in the Adelaide suburb of Bowden.3
Rosanna died on 12 December 1887 at the Adelaide suburb of Bowden of degeneration of the heart.2 Her body was interred at North Road cemetery at the Adelaide suburb of Medindie Gardens. She was buried in a paupers grave.2

Edward Henry Dean and Richard Connell Dean were charged with neglecting to contribute to the support of their stepmother, Rosanna Dean. Mr. Stock, for the defendants, produced letters containing money which the Deans had sent to their stepmother, but which had been returned from the' Post-Office, as she had changed her residence. Edward Dean was ordered to pay 3s. and Richard Dean 5s. per week.4'
