Alexander George Deane was born circa 1863 at South Australia.1 He was the son of Alexander Charles Deane and Ann Dunne.2 Alexander George Deane was baptised at Melrose Holy Trinity Church on Thursday, 7 May 1863 at Warcowie, South Australia.3
His mother died 26 June 1870 at the approximate age of 38.
A family member states that the children from Alexander Deane's first marriage were looked after by a woman in Walkerville because the second wife Sarah Sheils didn't want to care for them.4 He was a labourer circa 1885.3 He was addmitted with pleurisy in 1888 at Royal Adelaide Hospital, in Adelaide.3
