Elsie was born at the Royal Women's Hospital circa 1877 at the Melbourne suburb of Carlton.² She was the daughter of Henry Gordon Hill and Annie Johnston.¹

She married Charles Edwin Morris, circa 1894 at the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood..²

Elsie died on 7 September 1902 at Collingwood.^1,3,4 Her body was interred at Booroondara General Cemetery on 9 September 1902 at the Melbourne suburb of Kew.⁴
