Bertie was born on Wednesday, 5 July 1893 at Parkes, New South Wales.2,3 He was the son of Henry Olliver and Mary Jane Nicholson. As of circa 1895, Bertie Jack Olliver was also known as Jack.4

He married Emma Marie Drabsch, on Tuesday, 3 November 1914 at Orange, New South Wales. He was 21 and his wife Emma was 24..5,6 Bertie (and presumably his spouse Emma) lived in September 1932 at Young, New South Wales.7 Bertie was in the Second World War; he was a Leading Aircraftsman in a paratroop training unit.1

Bertie died on 31 May 1968 at the Sydney suburb of St. Leonards at age 74.1
