Charles Sharp was born circa 1810.1 He was baptised on Sunday, 12 August 1810 at Pitminster, Somerset.1 He was a thatcher.2,1

On Saturday, 3 September 1831, Maria took Charles to court. He was held to be the father of Frederick Sharp Oaten. He was ordered to pay two pounds one shilling, as well as one shilling sixpence weekly for the maintenance of the child. Maria was also warned that she would have to pay sixpence weekly in the event she didn't take care of her son.3
