Maria Anne Oaten was born circa 1806.3,1 She was the daughter of John Oaten and Hannah Cheek.1 Maria Anne Oaten was baptised on Sunday, 9 March 1806 at Pitminster, Somerset.4,1 She was a servant.1
On Saturday, 3 September 1831, Maria took Charles to court. He was held to be the father of Frederick Sharp Oaten. He was ordered to pay two pounds one shilling, as well as one shilling sixpence weekly for the maintenance of the child. Maria was also warned that she would have to pay sixpence weekly in the event she didn't take care of her son.5
Maria Anne Oaten married John Blackwell on Monday, 26 December 1836 at Pitminster, Somerset.3,1
Maria died on 19 October 1870 at Pitminster, Somerset.1
