Eliza was born on Monday, 2 April 1838 at Bridgwater, Somerset. She was born at 4:30 a.m..1 She was the daughter of Frederick Oaten and Dinah Bradbeer.1

Eliza Oaten married Thomas Bell Draper, son of Isaac Draper and Elizabeth Bell, at Pip and Jay (St. Phillip and St. Jacob) on Sunday, 29 May 1864 at Bristol. They were 26 and 26 respectively.1 A family photgraph.

Eliza died on 3 January 1910 at South Omaha, Nebraska, at age 71.1
