George Hanks was born on 29 October 1817 at Horsley, Gloucestershire.1 He was baptised on Friday, 26 June 1818 at Horsley, Gloucestershire.1 He was agricultural labourer.1
George Hanks married Eliza Jane Davis at Newingtonbagpath on Sunday, 22 October 1843 at Horsley, Gloucester. They were 25 and 23 respectively.1
George died on 28 September 1881 at Salem, Utah, at age 63.1 He was buried on 30 September 1881 at Salem, Utah.1
