Halvor Halvorsen was born in 1821 at Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.1 He was the son of Halvor Halvorsen and Dorthe Hansdatter Hjermstad.1 Halvor Halvorsen was a forest worker in December 1865.1
He was recorded as living with his mother and siblings Dyhre and Inge in the 1865 census.1
