Tomason was born in 1849 at Bolton Registration District, Lancashire.3 She was baptised at St. Peter's on Sunday, 25 March 1849 at Bolton, Lancashire.1 She was the daughter of John Braithwaite Horrocks and Hannah Martin.1

She was recorded as living with her parents and siblings Mary and Elizabeth in the 1851 census at 130 Blackburn Road, Sharples, Bolton, Lancashire. She was recorded as being 2 years old.4 Tomason lived in October 1914 at 9 Manly Terrace, in Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire.5 Her body was interred on 9 October 1914 at Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire.5
