David Hew Kennedy of Finnarts Glenapp was born on 11 July 1891.1 He was the son of Rolande Fergussone Kennedy of Finnarts Glenapp and Flora Glencairn Whiteside Shaw.1
David was a Second Lieutenant (or perhaps a Captain) with the Royal Scots Fusiliers, 2nd Battalion in the first world war.2 He was decorated while serving in the military.2
David died on 31 July 1917 at France at age 26 His death is recorded on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.1,2
