General Sir James Shaw-Kennedy married Mary Primrose Kennedy of Kirkmichael, daughter of David Kennedy of Kirkmichael and Henrietta Whiteford, in 1820 at Ayreshire, Scotland.1
James died on 30 May 1865 at Bath at age 76.1
