She married William Edward Gillett.5 Mary was born circa 1815. She was the daughter of William Barker and Anne Oaten.3,4

In John Oaten's will on 21 March 1837 Hannah Tamsey, Mary Oaten, Anne Oaten, Harriet Oaten and Hannah Oaten, Elizabeth Oaten and Amelia Oaten, Harriet Finney, William Finney, Mary Barker, Harriet Oaten and Joseph Oaten were named as heirs. As John's niece, she was to receive £50 from the estate..1
