Thomas Tapley was born on 22 June 1789 at Folkestone, Kent.1

He married Mary Morford, at St Mary and St Eanswythe on Tuesday, 26 February 1811 at Folkestone, Kent..1 Thomas Tapley and Mary Morford moved to Vlissingen, Netherlands, circa 1820.2

At the age of 49 Thomas Tapley and Mary Morford emigrated from Plymouth on 31 July 1838 on the "Rajasthan" with their 9 children and at least one grandchild in a second class cabin.3,1 Thomas Tapley and Mary Morford arrived on 16 November 1838 at Port Adelaide, South Australia.3,1


Thomas died on 14 June 1856 at the Adelaide suburb of South Terrace at age 66.1 His body was interred at West Terrace Cemetery at Adelaide.1
