Euphemie Ruth Anderson was born on 5 October 1865 at Champ Delort, in Port Louis, Mauritius.2,1,3 She was the daughter of William John Anderson and Emma Frances Baker.1 Her common name was Amy.4

William and Emma were both ill with a fever January 1867 and went to their daughter Euphemie to Grand River, in Port Louis, Mauritius.5

Euphemie died on 10 January 1867 at Port Louis at age 1 of 'convulsions (teething)'.1,6
